Moon Pie

This is a first attempt at markers - I like the saturation compared to color pencils.

Nice job. I've seen some folks do amazing things with markers, though I'm still not too good with them myself.

Moon pie! Very clever idea! I like the saturation of the markers too. I laboriously colored my entry with colored pencils and my hand is ready to fall off!

What a great idea, a Moon pie! Nice composition and colors, you did wonders with markers, the colors do look rich and appealing. There's also a softness to the shadows, it's quite lovely.

Wow!!! Very creative!!!
I'm trying to imagine its taste...mmm...I can't make up my mind, but I suspect it would be perfect for a romantic date or ..maybe for a witch tea party too ^-^

I was considering doing something on 'Moon Pie'. You hit it perfectly. I like the idea that, other than the filling, this looks like a nice little still life. Like the joke's waiting to jump out you.
P.S. Great job on the markers.

Is there such a thing as moon pie? Nice illo, where's your "missing" entry?

Nicely done, and a fresh take on the topic. I got yelled at once in art school for using markers. You did a much better job than me, though. Have you tried Copic? It's a Japanese marker with a kind of watercolor feel. They used to be the prime tool for coloring manga (before computers became more widespread about 5 years ago). Nice feel to them, and you can hook up an airbrush attachment for large areas (tho I never tried it). I used them for my first big professional illo job over here an eon ago.

You might also try working with pastels, see for example: http://www.darylstorrs.com/pastel_art_gallery.htm
